Mrs. Kori Mosley has been in Richmond since 1986, after moving from New Jersey to attend VCU’s School of the Arts. Her first teaching position was in Powhatan County, where she taught art at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
After seven years of teaching, she
went on to pursue full time graduate study at VCU. With a Master’s Degree in Art
Education, Mrs. Mosley went back into the classroom briefly before becoming the Art Specialist for Henrico County Public Schools. In this capacity, she was in
charge of all aspects of the art programs K-12. After six years in this administrative position, she realized that she missed the classroom too much - and this
led her to the Art Department at MLWGS!
Mrs. Mosley lives in Church Hill with her husband (a 6th grade math teacher), a darling
chihuahua named Neps and a precocious min-pin named Bing. Her interests include art (looking at,
reading about, making, and collecting), home decorating projects, traveling, gardening,
reading, and renovating an old, historic house.
